International Women’s Day Awards: Austin Woman Magazine

International Women’s Day Awards: Austin Woman Magazine — April 2016.

Ten Thousand Villages Austin, the nonprofit retailer specializing in handmade, fair-trade products from developing countries, celebrated International Women’s Day by recognizing Central Texas women who are making a difference in the community. This year’s judges were Austin City Council Member Leslie Pool, legendary singer-songwriter Sara Hickman and animal-welfare activist Suzy Swingle. The emcee was Joy Diaz of KUT radio’s Texas Standard.
