TCEA President Profile: Texas School Business Magazine — September 2016.

After Bill Lewis graduated from Duncanville High School in 1988, he moved to Austin to attend the University of Texas. There, he jumped around from major to major with no clear idea of what that should be — until his junior year, when it just hit him that he was supposed to be a teacher. The current president of the Texas Computer Education Association (TCEA) had found his calling.

His first job out of college was teaching 7th grade science at Eanes ISD in Austin; he also coached middle school tennis and high school basketball. In 1995, his classroom received its first computer, which was networked in 1996.
