Companies, insurance providers and other organizations are taking steps to improve employee productivity, health, re- silience and satisfaction. This not only results in healthier employees, but also happier ones — both of which are extremely bene cial to the organization.
The American Journal of Health Promotion conducted a review in 2012, which found that companies with wellness bene ts had 25 percent lower sick leave, workers compensation claims, and health and disability insurance costs. Still, fewer than 10 per- cent of companies nationwide o er a formal, comprehensive wellness program.
